2002 Volvo XC70 Rear Wheel Hub Replacing

Download 2002 Volvo XC70 L5-2.4L Turbo VIN 58 B5244T3 Vehicle Level Transmission and Drivetrain Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints Wheel Hub Service and Repair Rear Wheel Hub, Replacing. Special tools: 951 2050 Raise the car Remove the rear wheel the screw for the drive shaft / wheel hub. Removing the rear wheel hub. Remove the brake caliper mounting screws. Hang the caliper up with a piece of wire the locating pin for the brake disc the brake disc the ABS-cable holder the ABS sensor. Hang up the sensor using a piece of wire. Remove the spring strut from the lower control arm Note: the spring strut is slightly compressed. Remove the anti-roll bar from the upper control arm Use a Torx wrench as a counterhold so that the rubber boot is not damaged. Remove the tie rod from the wheel spindle. Angle the tie rod upwards so that the inner mounting for the control arm is exposed the screw holding the lower mounting for the control arm to the sub-frame. Bend the control arm downwards. Remove the screws from rear wheel hub the rear wheel hub from the wheel spindle and drive shaft. Note: Clean the splines on the drive shaft before installing the new wheel hub. Lubricate the splines using oil. Installing the rear wheel hub Note: Ensure that the hub and the wheel spindle mating surfaces are clean. Install the rear wheel hub. Use new screws and torque wrench with ring wrench kit. Tighten crosswise. Tighten to 20 Nm . Then tighten to 65 Nm . Finally angle-tighten 60° . Use bevel protractor 951 2050. the control arm to the sub-frame. Do not tighten yet the tie rod on the wheel spindle. Do not tighten yet. Install the anti-roll bar link to the upper control arm. Tighten to 80 Nm . Use a Torx wrench as a counterhold so that the boot is not damaged. Press the suspension up to its normal position. Tighten the lower control arm to the sub-frame. Tighten to 80 Nm the tie rod to the wheel spindle. Tighten to 80 Nm . Remove the mobile jack.Install the spring strut on the lower control arm. Use a larger jimmy bar to bend the control arm down and align the spring strut against the control arm the lower screw for the spring strut. Tighten to 80 Nm . Install the brake disc the locating pin for the brake disc. Tighten the locating pin. Tighten to 10 Nm the brake caliper. Use new screws. Tighten to 60 Nm the ABS sensor. Note: Ensure that the sensor seat in the wheel spindle is completely clean. Clean the ABS sensor with a soft brush. Tighten the sensor. Tighten to 10 Nm .
